Welcome to the Patrick Dolph Lab
Welcome to the Patrick Dolph lab! We are part of the biological sciences department at Dartmouth College, located in the 1978 Life Sciences Center. I'm the lab's only research technician and manager, which means I do all the molecular biology benchwork, take care of our model organism--the fruit flies--and generally do all the upkeep for our lab like ordering supplies and taking care of our equipment.
For the first three years I was here we studied the effects of NF-kappa B's on retinal degeneration, and then we changed gears and are currently working on a gene that may be involved with Alzheimer's. More on this to come! First, here is the reason I fell in love with this laboratory the very first day I walked in. A lab with a view of the Green Mountains. Where else would I want to be every day?
